greetings from money city

this past weekend i went back to wesleyan for homecoming, and to show this documentary that i worked on in chiapas. wesleyan was weired and good in equal amounts. i got a chance to talk to some old professors (wightman and cutler) who basically reassured me that someday i would get a job that wasn't horrible and boring, and also that going to grad school for latin american studies if i had no intention of becoming an academic was basically a waste of time. i also got a chance to hang out with some friends from college, which helped a lot with the lonelyness thing.

things that make me feel better about the state of the universe:
the red sox (yay!)
eminem's new song mosh, which although musically terrible, is totally anti bush.
the new york times magazine article about grocery lists this week, and accompanying website, http://www.keaggy.com/
